Our nearest hospital is at least a half hour away. It would be closer to go to Mississippi but our insurance won’t cover that. When we were looking to move to TN, we looked many things, such as hospitals, up and the internet showed satisfactory results. After moving here we found they were permanently closed after COVID. We fear the day we need emergency medical assistance. Even now we may have doctors offices nearby, but for any tests we have an hour’s drive. And any night or evening assistance is unavailable, without a lengthy drive into other counties.
There used to be a hospital in Selmer Tn; so convenient for us residents; but now any ambulance that should have a quick, short ride to emergency services; but now only Jackson or Corinth (MS) are available!
I had to take my sister to the ER we had to wait in lobby for 6 hours and we got to the back several more hours. Not only do we need more hospital s we need more staff!
It can take as much as a full day or more before you get a room in the ER we need more hospitals in this state.
More hospitals are definitely needed. Don’t let the politicians block our right to medical care.
We need freedom of choice on our health. I am against the con law.
They kicked out the closest hospital and made it a police dept. Some of others have spread out and older citizens like me have hard time in walking a quarter of mile to see family or waiting room on surgery for family .
Local choices are limited at best. Information for hospitals and specialties facilities are also limited choice is the last option for the patients and the providers.
People need more options than what is offered and less outside interference
Yes we need new hospitals in Tennessee and these laws need to be repealed immediately
I went to ER in Crossville and set there for 48 Hr .People were coming in and they were being treated and left until I left and found a DR that made house calls and I got an Iv and the next day I felt better .i was bad dehydrated .They don’t take anyone there.
There’s no hospital in my country. Polk country. We need a hospital here it’s very important that we get one .
there is a lacking of doctors and other medical providers in my area. Doctors are booked for months. No eye toward service or accommodation. Too much demand and not enough supply. There is no competition here. There should be no limit on medical providers. If a provider wants to open a practice in any area […]

REPEAL IT! UNELECTED BUREAUCRATS HAVE NO RIGHT TO DECIDE OUR HEALTHCARE OPTIONS!
Yes I support repealing the CON laws we no longer have a choice because of ballad quality and stand
We need more hospitals and more health facility places to get waited on because you can go into a emergency room now and be there all night to get waited on
My husband was admitted to a Ballad hospital with heart and lung issues. There was not a cardiologist or pulmonologist available while he was there. We now travel to Knoxville to see a cardiologist and Pikeville, Kentucky for Pulmonology. It is a shame that the quality of care is sub par requiring patients to travel […]

I need hernia surgery and no surgeon in Ballad health will do it.
We live in Southwest Tennessee. The only healthcare we can get is to drive all of the way to Jackson or to Memphis. We’ve asked why no other hospitals or clinics have opened in our area, because they couldn’t be approved. Change the law.
I fell and broke my hip in October 2024. I had to be taken 50 miles to a Memphis hospital because we don’t have orthopedic surgeons in my area. Then, I had to wait 2 days for surgical repair. This is not just an inconvenience. This is inhumane! We need adequate healthcare in our rural […]

Our Health Care in East Tennessee is a Monopoly! Ballad Health is a Joke! Wait times especially when you are in the Emergency Room is horrible! I have had to wait for over 7 hours before! I have talked with people who have waited for over 10 hour’s! We need more Hospitals to have a choice! I had back surgery and almost urinated on myself waiting on a nurse to come and help, I waited over an hour and had already pulled myself up and went to the bathroom myself. The nurse finally came and I told her she was terrible for a patient. I told my charge nurse the next morning what had happened and she had her changed out and the next one was somewhat better but not at all what I had expected after a 10 hour surgery! A lot of complaints have been made towards Ballad Health!
I HAVE HAD LUPUS For 41 Years , I MOVED HERE FROM THE INDIANA TO TENNESSEE , I HAVE RECEIVED THE WORST MEDICAL CARE IN TENNESSEE , I EVER RECEIVED IN MY 42 YEARS ,
I support Freedom of choice in healthcare. Our local hospital was shut down & we need it re-opened! I need freedom in choosing a doctor that will help with my specific needs.
The quality of care has diminished. The E D wait times are off the charts with parts of the department not being utilized secondary to staffing issues. Quality doctors have left the area. Patients are now going to Knoxville, Pikeville and other places to get the care that was once the norm in our hospitals. […]
